The Kiwi Range

The original! Our Kiwi range are built for NZ conditions with a full timber frame, 0.4mm steel cladding and are covered by a 30 year warranty. Built to your order, feel free to add doors, windows, workbenches, anything you need to make your shed your own!

The Kiwi Range | Full Timber Frame

A machine finished timber frame gives our Kiwi sheds incredible rigidity and strength, while also making it easy to kit out your shed with workbenches, toolboards, shelves and more.

The Kiwi Range | 0.4mm Hi-Tensile Steel Cladding

Duratuf Kiwi sheds are manufactured from strong hi-tensile .40 gauge steel, roll formed into an attractive 6-rib profile and are available in a Zinc / Aluminium finish or in a range of popular colour coated options. And because we are so confident in the quality of our cladding, we back it up with a full 30 year warranty (conditions apply).

The Kiwi Range | Everglide Door

This is no poxy little upgrade, it's a complete overhaul! Featuring a beefed up aluminium door track and ball bearing rollers, it'll give you years of smooth, quiet shed access to your Kiwi shed. We reckon it's the best shed door on the market.

The Kiwi Range | Custom Build Options

Need something special? Something a little bit out of the ordinary? Allow us to create the perfect shed for you. Being a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company, we can modify your shed to suit your needs.

Not all customisation options available on all models. To check options jump on our 3D Shed Builder.

The Kiwi Range | Wide Range of Colours

You're spoilt for choice with the Kiwi Range with over 35 colour combinations available. Just choose a wall colour and a trim colour from the swatches. If you'd like a single colour all over you can get this in Karaka, Ironsand, Grey Friars, Nightfall and Ebony. And if you'd like any other popular cladding colour not listed here we can have this arranged (fees apply).

The Kiwi Range | Advanced Water Runoff

Surely everybody wants a weatherproof shed? It’s important then, that water flows away from your shed to ensure your valuable gear is kept dry. The unique design of our sheds ensures that water is not trapped on or around them as there are no channels to trap leaves, dirt and water that will leak, or sit and corrode the cladding.

The Kiwi Range | Press-Bent Roof

Kiwi gable sheds have roof sheets that are press-bent in the middle to eliminate the centre join (Fig 1). This ingenious design means that the roof sheet spans from one side of the shed to the other without any joins at the gable. This gives the Kiwi shed added strength and rigidity as well as being exceptionally weatherproof.

Most conventional gable roof sheds have a ridge capping in the centre, joining the two sides of the roof (Fig.2) creating the possibility of leaks.

The Kiwi Range | Effective Spouting

All Duratuf Kiwi sheds have a spouting front and back (Fig. 3), which is less prone to blockages and overflows. The spouting allows the water to run freely off the roof and then directs the water effectively away from the
door area.

Conventional panel type sheds however, have a channel on the edge of the roof that over time can easily become blocked with leaves and dirt (Fig. 4). If water becomes trapped it can cause leaks and corrosion.

The Kiwi Range | Safety Edge Corners

We have the corner joins covered as well! Instead of the conventional overlapped corners (Fig. 6), Kiwi shed corner joins (Fig. 5) are completely covered by a modern looking flashing making them extremely weather-tight and child safe. No sharp edges!

The Kiwi Range | Concrete Pad Specs

A concrete base provides a solid foundation for your Kiwi shed. To work out the size simply deduct 15mm from the width and depth of your chosen model. It should be at least 80mm thick in the centre, and 100mm thick around the edges.

The Kiwi Range | Raised Floor Modification

Kiwi kitsets can be modified to allow the wall cladding to extend past the base of the shed when placing on a raised concrete floor. This completely eliminates the possibility of water running back into the base of your shed.

It is necessary to order the Raised Base Modification for the Kiwi range at the time of ordering the shed.

The Kiwi Range | Kitset Pack

Duratuf Kiwi sheds are delivered in kitset form and shipped in 2 packs. A plastic-wrapped crate containing steel sheets and hardware, the other with timber components and flashings.

The Kiwi Range | Straight Forward Assembly

With the full timber frame construction system you’ll find these sheds a pleasure to put together. For your convenience the door is pre-assembled in our factory and concise step-by-step instructions will guide you through the easy installation process. Or put your feet up and let someone else do the work for you. There are shed installation professionals in most parts of the country that we recommend. Visit our Recommended Assemblers page

The Kiwi Range | Tools Required

Here's the tools you need to assemble your Kiwi shed. You'll also want to have appropriate safety gear (boots, gloves, ear and eye protection) and a friend to help out always makes the job much quicker and easier.
