DURATUF BUILT DIFFERENT!
At Duratuf, we don’t just build sheds.
We build them properly with pride, care, and a team that stands behind every product.
Our journey started in 1992, with a small shed yard on Hamilton's greasy mile...
Originally called the Kiwi Garden Shed Company, working from a small shed yard on Greenwood Street in Hamilton. Basil Dunn, his sons, and a few helping hands built and delivered customised sheds for locals around the Waikato.
Over time, our sheds built a reputation for quality, and demand grew across the country. So we made a change. We rebranded to Duratuf, moved into a bigger factory, and partnered with major big box DIY stores and specialist shed retailers to reach more Kiwis.
That shift let us focus on what we do best. Building tough, reliable sheds.
Today, Duratuf sheds are still designed and made in Hamilton, now from our purpose-built site in Horotiu. We’re proud to support our local community through jobs, suppliers, and ongoing contributions.
Basil might be “retired”, but he still pops in to make sure we’re sticking to our values.
When you choose Duratuf, you’re choosing a shed built on experience, quality, and doing things properly.

Purchased a new Duratuf garden shed in April 26 for extra storage space. I am very happy with the purchase. Some of the assembly instructions need a tweek to make it clearer but over all the shed went together well.

Ordered the shed through my local Mitre 10 store, delivery was quicker than expected. The local builder who constructed the shed said it was straight forward, and the shed looks great. I have moved the Ride on, all the garden power tools and storage items out to the shed, freeing up the garage. Very happy with the purchase.

This a great shed and supper easy to open close. My installer did a good job. It looks awesome seems to be pretty water tight. The internal floor, bench , sunlight roof are great additions and quality .

I purchased a Kiwi KL3 Garden Shed with double sliding doors after considering a number of options available. Duratuf design appeared superior to other options, and supported the work bench and storage requirements I had. Very happy with the components and the instructions. A check off schedule was provided that I could use to validate all parts were supplied. A great solo project without any issues, and didn't require any assistance. Based on my experience, Duratuf and their products are highly recommended.

We purchased the Duratuf Windsor Lifestyle Shed. We are in a high wind area, and it is solid as a rock. Great looking shed. Well packed and easy to install. We are extremely happy with this product.
